Senior Payroll Coordinator
The Senior Payroll Coordinator is an integral part of Latham's Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Payroll department and ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures of the firm, while organizing, delegating, and coordinating work to ensure department objectives and goals are met timely and accurately, and providing support to the department by participating in informal performance reviews of Payroll Coordinators and Specialists. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Other key responsibilities include: Ensuring complete, accurate, and timely production and delivery of payrolls, bonuses, and adjustments for US offices, including new hires, terminations, leaves of absences and benefits Assisting in complete and accurate payroll tax reporting for all jurisdictions Ensuring goals and objectives of department are met, while providing accurate and timely completion of assignments and inquiry responses, and ensuring that all tasks and duties completed are done within the firm's set guidelines and policies Working collaboratively with the Senior Accounting Manager

Payroll to develop and implement appropriate payroll operations policies and controls, while ensuring all internal controls and processes prevent errors and are in compliance with firm policies, US regulations, and US legislation Maintaining payroll files for audit schedules and liaising with international offices on a regular basis to safeguard compliance with local and international tax regulations and firm policy, and procedure and reporting Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains We'd love to hear from you if you: Demonstrate the ability to set up complex mathematical formulas in Excel spreadsheets Exhibit knowledge and proficiency in payroll procedures, including understanding tax requirements across various localities, with experience in this area considered a plus Possess knowledge and proficiency in PC applications, including spreadsheet software and operations.
