Information Governance (IG) Matter Mobility Senior Analyst

The Information Governance (IG) Matter Mobility Senior Analyst is an integral part of Latham's Information Governance team and will be responsible for assisting with coordinating the workflow of a team that provides assistance to staff and attorneys across the firm with file transfers in and out of the firm, while providing centrally coordinated support to practice office IG Operations departments and coordinating all major functions of the Matter Mobility team with minimal supervision. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include: Developing plans, organizing files and workflow, and assuming responsibility for the completion of major projects Ensuring compliance with policies and completion of the matter mobility process, as well as responding to questions and providing guidance and training as needed Exercising judgment in ensuring that firm policies and procedures are followed and understanding how ethical and legal obligations impact the storage, organization, and transfer of data in a global environment Advising attorneys, legal professionals, and staff about information management best practices, data privacy and security issues, and other risk management issues Communicating effectively with the Lateral Partner Onboarding team and other teams outside of IG that play a role in the matter mobility process Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains We'd love to hear from you if you: Possess extensive knowledge of information governance, data security, privacy principles, best practices, and procedures Display excellent communication skills Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the physical and electronic resources of the department and firm Possess expertise and experience in utilizing eDiscovery tools and technologies And have: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in relevant records and information management required, preferably at a law firm Experience in other law firm positions having significant document organizational responsibilities may be considered in lieu of directly related Information Governance or Records experience A bachelor's degree or equivalent; a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree Benefits & Additional Information
