Shelter Plus Care Program Coordinator
The City of Topeka is seeking a dedicated social services professional to oversee the Shelter Plus Care Program. This is a HUD program that provides individuals with a disability a housing subsidy and assistance. The Program Coordinator will work closely with referring partner agencies, landlords, and clients and assist clients through the process of receiving a Shelter Plus Care voucher, finding housing, and maintaining their housing. What You'll Do: Provide full-cycle case management services to Shelter Plus Care clients. Work closely with referring partner agencies, landlords, and clients to secure and maintain housing. Complete data entry into online systems and submit required reports to maintain compliance with the Shelter Plus Care grant. The Ideal Candidate Has: Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations The ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. An aptitude for technology and the ability to utilize data effectively A passion for community engagement Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, or related field is preferred. Must have a minimum of one year of related experience in program administration. Must be insurable within the standards set by the City of Topeka insurance carrier and must possess and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license. Minimum Entry Rate of Pay:
