Registered Nurse Position
Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional nursing services for residents of the Gallatin Rest Home. Nurses work various shifts according to facility needs and their availability. Minimum of 2 shifts per month providing shifts are available. Qualifications
Applicants for this position must be certified to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Montana; must have thorough knowledge of the theories, techniques and practices of professional nursing; medical terminology and the effects of medication and treatment; supervisory principles and practices; and the ability to apply knowledge; supervise the work of others; maintain accurate medical charts and records; handle sensitive and confidential information; communicate effectively both in writing and verbally; provide professional nursing care to aged and handicapped individuals; react well in emergency situations; direct, instruct and oversee the work of subordinate personnel; and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Education & Experience
Completion of an approved course in professional nursing, license to practice professional nursing in the state of Montana. Two (2) years work experience in a similar health care setting affording the opportunity to demonstrate supervisory capabilities, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The County contribution is pro-rated on hours paid for part-time employees. The employee pays the premium portion for dependent coverage. Family health benefits coverage is $205.00 per pay period. In recognition of the importance of bonding and care of a newborn child or a child placed for adoption, Gallatin County provides 240 hours of PPL to eligible full-time employees. The hours are pro-rated for part-time employees. Tuition Assistance
