The Program Director will be responsible for the implementation and execution of specific recreation activities in the Health and Wellness Ryse Up after-school program. Duties include but are not limited to, planning and leading healthy habits, daily challenges, and social recreation activities; maintaining a clean and organized workspace; engaging in both indoor and outdoor activities; and assisting the Kids Care site Director with Health and Wellness parent correspondence as necessary; attend staff and programming meetings as scheduled; keep current necessary credentials and trainings as required and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the community. Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a childcare program or related field of work Skills in general recreation programs, and some knowledge of specific activities as related to the position Excellent communication skills: ability to exercise independent judgment. CPR, First Aid and AED required (paid training is available if needed) Experience working with children in a recreational setting Knowledge of sports and nutrition, and some implementation required Special consideration will be given to candidates with a background in physical education, recreation, exercise and sports science or related fields Valid driver's license Supplemental Information

Position Hours: 2pm

6 pm, Monday

Friday Pay: $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. A criminal background investigation will be completed prior to hire. May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.
