Architectural Designer Opportunity
We have an immediate need for an Architectural Designer in the Charlotte, NC area. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and estimated to go direct within 6 months of start date. Hourly pay is dependent on experience and education. Job Description
Responsibilities include: Site visits when necessary for field measurements Read and interpret architectural drawings Prepare technical & shop drawings and details for our projects Work in a profitable and timely manner according to company standards Interpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information obtained, as well as make any modifications as needed Work closely with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issues Responsibility for maintaining multiple projects at a time and keeping up with revisions as they progress from initiation to completion Be able to follow computer processes and procedures Attend client meetings as required Maintain a draw & build a standard option library Possess a high degree of passion, drive and knowledge to achieve the best possible creative results Must have a passion for design and an eagerness to learn Required
Requirements include: 8 Years of Architectural and Design Drafting experience with high-end residential/multifamily projects. On path to obtain Architectural license. Good knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building code Proficient software skills including AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sketchup. Experience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture details. Knowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/material. Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, organized, and effective under pressure Have 3D visional interpretation of construction situations Ability to work well with others and follow directions Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to multitask and manage several projects Demonstrate critical thinking skills Dedicated and trustworthy person with extra attention to detail Preferred
