HR & Payroll Coordinator

With everyone's commitment, anything is a possibility. Key Responsibilities of the HR & Payroll Coordinator:
Oversee and guide the payroll and benefits functions, working closely with the Payroll Specialist and Benefits Specialist to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Monitor and approve employee pay increases, promotions, and compensation adjustments Lead employee relations efforts, including coaching managers on corrective actions, reviewing write-ups, and conducting or advising on terminations and exit interviews Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and documentation standards Serve as a point of escalation for sensitive employee issues, working to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment Partner with hiring managers on recruiting efforts by assisting with candidate screening, offer approvals, and onboarding processes Support recruiting efforts by reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and assisting with offer approvals Support performance management initiatives, including annual reviews, disciplinary procedures, and improvement plans Assist in developing and refining HR policies and procedures to support company goals and compliance Maintain and audit employee records in the HRIS system to ensure accuracy and completeness Collaborate with the leadership on strategic initiatives and cross-departmental projects Participate in special projects as assigned Qualifications of the HR & Payroll Coordinator:
Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, with exposure to payroll, benefits, and employee relations Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is REQUIRED Experience with multifamily property management preferred Prior experience in a lead or supervisory HR role strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of employment law, compensation practices, and HR processes Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Experience working with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, HRO, or similar platforms) Comfortable working in a fully in-office, fast-paced environment Please apply ONLY if you live or can relocate WITHIN 30 MINUTES of the corporate office Adara Communities 8223 Willow Place Drive S Houston, TX 77070 #IND123
