Environmental Health And Safety Specialist

Assist in the development, implementation, and management of Environmental, Health, and Safety systems to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize environmental impact. Strive for continual improvement towards an accident-free workplace and support sustainability efforts. Responsibilities Advise and assist site management, production leaders, and employees on EHS-related issues. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental laws, regulations, and codes. Stay updated on the latest EHS procedures and requirements by attending seminars and joining related organizations. Revise policies and procedures as necessary. Conduct and document regular environmental audits of the facility to ensure regulatory compliance. Assist in creating, implementing, and maintaining all safety and environmental procedures. Assist in planning and developing all EHS training. Conduct annual and new hire required EHS training. Coordinate air sampling and follow-up as necessary. Maintain and renew all environmental permits. Maintain SDS files and chemical list. Maintain IMDS database. Respond to customer environment requests and surveys. Conduct bi-annual ISO14001 management review meetings. Assist in reviewing and maintaining the environmental system per ISO14001 requirements. Review products, manufacturing processes, and other activities for environmental aspects and impacts. Prepare and maintain all required TDEC/EPA/ISO14001 recordkeeping. Coordinate proper disposal of all waste generated. Maintain and audit hazardous waste storage area. Serve as Alternate Spill Coordinator. Support EHS Manager in EHS activities and programs. Participate in safety audits, accident investigations, and corrective actions. Assist in Near Miss and Safety Suggestion Program. Perform other duties as required or requested. Essential Skills Hazardous material handling Hazardous waste management Environmental regulations Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field preferred Comprehensive understanding of environmental laws and regulations At least three years of experience in Environmental roles within a manufacturing facility ISO14001 experience DOT/RCRA certification Proficiency in MS Office Additional Skills & Qualifications Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage time efficiently on multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously Clear and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr. Health, dental, prescription drug, vision, life & 401k.Life insurance premium paid at 2x annual salary; STD & LTD premium also covered Workplace Type
