Registrar Position
Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Registrar to manage patient accounts, verify demographic information, prevent duplicate records, and provide excellent customer service. Type of Opportunity: Full Time FTE: .90 (36 hours) Exempt: No Work Schedule: 12 hour days M,T,W Location: Presbyterian Espanola Hospital We're all about well-being, starting with yours. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.) Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. One to two years customer service experience. Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional patient and family experiences using CARES, AIDET, and EPE tools
Adapt communication to individual personalities while ensuring compliance and safety
Resolve patient complaints promptly with empathetic language and first-line solutions
Maintain clean, comfortable waiting areas and keep patients informed of delays
Register patients accurately via kiosks, capturing critical demographic and insurance data
Validate eligibility, estimate costs, and explain consent forms and billing practices
Manage appointment scheduling, monitor daily schedules, handle no-shows, and assist late arrivals
Support pre-registration and ongoing patient relations before, during, and after visits
Ensure financial accuracy and compliance, collect payments, and facilitate authorizations and referrals
Route accurate phone messages and assist with medical record releases and scanning workflows
Guide patients through paperwork processes like prescriptions and disability forms
Respond to distressed patients, maintain safe and orderly spaces, and report safety issues
Execute quality tasks like result letters and appointment reminders
