Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our communities.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the program's leadership team and is primarily responsibility forimplementation and oversight of new/innovative clinical services or models of care and clinical supervisionand professional development of licensed staff. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuringclients receive timely access to quality clinical services, overseeing administrative functions to supportprogram operations; and ensuring program compliance with federal, state, and city regulatory bodies andfunding entities.KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Clinical ServicesResponsible for development and oversight of new clinical services or models of care to effectively meet the clinical needs of the individuals/families and communities we serve as well as ensuring clients have timely access to quality clinical care. Duties are as follows:Identify gaps in clinical services at the program level and develop potential solutions to fill the gapLead the implementation of evidence-based treatment or have direct oversite and responsibility for innovative models of care, in partnership with JB training department and/or external agenciesensure clients have timely access to care by ensuring admissions and discharges are completed in a timely manner, assigning cases in a timely manner and ensuring clinicians have adequate case load sizes to minimize clients' wait for servicesMonitor show rates and appointment availabilityProvide direct services to clients, as needed, including intakes and crisis interventionsSupervision of crisis intervention servicesOther clinical duties as assignedResponsible for ensuring quality clinical services are provided as follows:Implementation of quality improvement initiativesParticipate in quality assurance activities such as chart reviews and utilization managementProvide individual and group supervision to program staffIntegrate recovery, rehabilitation, treatment and vocational components of the program, as appropriate.Monitor and follow up on program incidents.PersonnelResponsible for ensuring appropriate staffing to support clinical care and evaluating staff performance. Duties include the following:Participating in hiring and orienting of new staffTimely completion of performance appraisals and appropriately addressing performance concernsConducting or participating in staff training and developmentMonitoring staff attendance and vacation scheduling to ensure program coverageSupervising staff, as appropriate to licensurePlanning and participating in other program activities.Administrative Functions and Program OperationsAs part of the leadership team, responsible for ensuring program operations are conducted efficiently; the program remains in compliance with relevant regulatory entities and is fiscally viable. Duties are as follows:facilitate team meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as assignedensure program and staff are following regulations and standards of care that govern the program utilize a variety of electronic databases to monitor billing and address any fiscal or billing issues that ariseas part of program management, identify and develop systems to improve program operationsmay serve as back up to other program leadership, assuming responsibility for operations in their absence.Other administrative duties as assigned.CORE COMPETENCIES for the position include:Strong supervisory, management skills and leadership skills.Strong clinical direct practice skills and knowledge of evidenced based practices.Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate well in a multi-disciplinary team.EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIRED:Master's degree in social work and New York State clinical licensure (LCSW)Solid clinical skills and Knowledgeable of evidence-based practicesPrior experience in DBT, Trauma Focused CBT, EMDR preferred, but not requiredExcellent organizational skills, leadership, teamwork and communication skillsEXPERIENCE REQUIRED/LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:Must be a LCSW with at least three years of experience working with adults living with mental illness. Two years of supervisory experience is preferred. Strong clinical group, family and individual intervention skills required. Good organizational, teamwork and communicate skills needed. COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED: Proficient with electronic health recordMicrosoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); comfortable and proficient using audio video platforms (i.e., Zoom).
