Program Director

About the Role
As the Program Director, you'll oversee all aspects of Milestones' CBDS and School Transition servicessupporting staff, maintaining program excellence, managing referrals, and ensuring high-quality care that reflects our core values of dignity, inclusion, and respect. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to accountability. Role Summary
Program Oversight & Planning Oversee day-to-day delivery of CBDS and School Transition services Develop program schedules, coordinate community-based activities, and ensure appropriate groupings and curriculum Facilitate weekly team meetings and guide team-wide communication and consistency Leadership & Supervision Manage a team of 5+ direct support staff Provide regular supervision, support professional development, and lead trainings related to programming and service delivery Ensure supervisory coverage during all program hours and act as emergency response lead when needed Service Coordination & Compliance Manage admissions, discharges, and ISP processes in coordination with DDS, schools, and families Oversee documentation including assessments, semi-annual reports, and HCSIS entries Monitor contract adherence, licensure standards, and service quality benchmarks Operations & Communication Track attendance and support timely billing processes Collaborate with Director of Operations on budget development and compliance Maintain communication with families regarding logistics, events, and individual support Address facilities needs to ensure a safe, welcoming environment Strategic Initiatives & Representation Participate in agency-wide committees and initiatives Represent Milestones at community events and within fundraising and marketing efforts Stay informed of trends and contribute to future service development Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field; or 5+ years of experience in Human Services At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities and co-occurring needs Proven experience managing a team, including conducting training and leading team meetings Comfort with electronic records and program-level reporting Ability to work from both our Northampton and (eventually) Hadley locations as needed Why work with us?
