You will perform visual inspection, liquid penetrant inspection magnetic particle inspection, and eddy current inspection or ultrasonic thickness, during the removal and overhaul on both nuclear and nonnuclear ship/boats.
You will participate in conducting audits, submitting reports, and recommendations.
You will investigate and submit reports on assigned problem areas and special projects.
You will perform inspections as a preventative maintenance measure on critical systems on nuclear submarines, welds and components.
You will work in association with engineers/metallurgists in investigation/resolution of problems.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
