CCLI is looking for a full-time RESIDENTIAL RN with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. Catholic Charities operates 12 community residences on LI where residents with developmental disabilities are helped to achieve their highest level of functioning and to participate fully in the surrounding community. In this role, the Residential RN will assume RN oversight of medical/medication-related issues for every resident in the assigned residences in conjunction with the DSPs, Medical Care Counselors and Managers. Responsibilities: Monitor and assess individuals on an ongoing basis for signs of acute illness and/or complications of, or exacerbations of, chronic conditions within 24 hours of notification, communicating all medical changes noted to the team. Conduct weekly on-site nursing visits to perform health assessments and review medical records, ensuring appointments are completed when due, and medical recommendations/orders are implemented within 24 hours after consult is received. Communicate with medical providers to ensure all medical needs of the individual are met. Perform in-service staff training regarding new and existing medical concerns to ensure continuity of care. Ensure safe medication administration, adhering to physician prescriptions and regulations. Qualifications: Current NYS RN licensure Associates Degree in nursing required; Bachelors Degree preferred Experience working with the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled population helpful Valid NYS Driver's License Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a team Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability and willingness to adjust work schedule according to resident care needs Salary: $70,000

80,000/yr. Core Work Schedule: 35 hrs./wk. (9a-5p, Mon.-Fri.) with flexibility needed Catholic Charities of Long Island
