2nd Shift Production Associate

The 2nd Shift Production Associate is responsible for assisting with production activities while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the requirements outlined in the company's HACCP plan for SQF compliance, sanitation, traceability, and quality standards. This role includes tasks such as assembling or disassembling lines, maintaining adequate levels of chocolate in tanks, collaborating with others on the production line, cleaning the workstation, monitoring processes, and performing other responsibilities as assigned by management. Follow all safety and cGMP guidelines as indicated by the company's Food Safety and Quality Programs. Assemble and disassemble production equipment, including extruders and enrobbers. Load raw materials into processing tanks, such as chocolate chips and yogurt. Operate the flow pack machine, adjusting settings for mini or regular bars and monitoring performance throughout the shift. Place packaging material into machines as required. Monitor the production process, ensuring adherence to production guidelines and specifications. Report any food quality or food safety concerns to management or the Food Safety Committee. Communicate with supervisors or leads regarding any deviations observed during the process, such as unusual waste, incorrect packaging, incorrect printing, weights out of specification, or equipment issues. Conduct basic quality and testing checks, including weight reports, metal detectors, and tunnel condensation. Maintain a clean workstation and production area. Report waste and complete reports for QA checks and traceability. Experience in production environments Knowledge of cGMP and quality standards Ability to operate filling machines Capability to monitor production of various size bars Proficiency in documenting reports for QA and traceability Experience with cleanroom inspection and packaging High School graduate or GED preferred 1 year of packing work experience, preferably in a food processing facility Join a growing company that values its employees by hosting appreciation events and providing free snacks. The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
