Ensign College Compliance Program Assistant

Assist and support the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Ensign College with tasks related to developing the college's compliance program, including policy analysis and approval, managing policy website, creating compliance area assessments, administrative work, communicating with college employees, assisting with compliance coordination meetings, and communication and training efforts. Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ. Hours: 10-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit. Specific Summary of Duties: Updating policies by working with various college leaders, improving formatting, recommending edits, and researching best practices/policy language. Assisting in training efforts for compliance coordinators, including organizing compliance coordination meetings Scheduling meetings with various groups and stakeholders Completing internal compliance area assessments and communicating results and questions with stakeholders Managing policy website, including updating with new policies Assist in other compliance projects, as needed Ability to recognize the sensitive nature of some of the work and keep things confidential Keep Dress and Grooming Standards and maintain high standard of dress and grooming given professional role Job Qualification: Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits and in good academic standing. Ability to produce effective written correspondence through email and other written communication. Have the ability to communicate effectively, listen and respond appropriately. Highly self-motivated, hard worker, creative, and has a great attention to detail. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the supervisor, team members, faculty, and staff. Ability to solve problems and ask for clarification as needed. Proficient in Office 365 and Canvas.
