Human Resources Manager

As the Human Resources Manager, you'll oversee all core HR functionsincluding employee and labor relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and training. You'll serve as the key liaison between management and union representatives, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant practices aligned with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). This is a high-impact role for a confident, solutions-oriented HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary HR contact for all union-related matters; interpret and administer CBAs. Collaborate with union representatives to address grievances, negotiate terms, and foster productive labor-management relations. Advise managers and supervisors on HR best practices, contract compliance, and disciplinary actions. Lead and track employee training initiatives to eliminate gaps in both recurring and new training programs. Support collective bargaining processes and contract administration efforts. Conduct and document thorough investigations into employee relations concerns. Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and union workforce needs. Ensure full compliance with employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, EEO, NLRA, etc.). Manage recruiting, onboarding, and employee development programs. Maintain accurate HRIS and employee records with the highest confidentiality. Partner with payroll and benefits teams to ensure seamless operations for both union and non-union employees. Promote a positive workplace culture by enhancing communication, engagement, and trust. Monitor and report on HR metrics such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and workforce trends. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a unionized setting. In-depth knowledge of labor law and collective bargaining practices. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational abilities and conflict-resolution experience. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
