HR Union Relations Supervisor

Human Resource Supervisor (union focused) This is a part time role with potential to be full time The Union Human Resources Supervisor provides comprehensive HR support in a unionized environment, ensuring consistent application of company policies and adherence to collective bargaining agreements. This role partners with management, employees, and union representatives to foster effective labor relations, support daily HR operations, and contribute to organizational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Support labor relations by ensuring HR practices align with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) Participate in grievance handling, contract interpretation, and arbitration process Participate in union-related meetings, investigations, and disciplinary actions Provide guidance to employees, supervisors and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and labor agreements. Develops further training as needed Support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with union seniority and posting rules Maintain personnel records and ensure compliance with labor laws and recordkeeping standards Collaborate with payroll to ensure proper processing of union-related pay adjustments, dues, and premiums Assist with employee engagement initiatives and training programs focused on compliance and labor awareness Contribute to HR reports, metrics, and audits as needed Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: 1-3 years of HR experience in unionized environment 1-3 years of experience of labor laws, CBAs, and grievance handling processes Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion Problem solving and analytical skills Ability to navigate complete HR issues and conflict resolution Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
