You'll work with some of the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with our clients. You will solve a range of straightforward problems; analyze possible solutions using standards procedures. You will receive a moderate level of guidance and direction performing a range of mainly straightforward assignments. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living. As a member of our transportation team, you'll have the chance to work on a challenging project where we'll depend on your expertise, intuition, and leadership with planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects. You'll be considered a key member of our team and be tasked with developing the civil design for transportation (highway/roadway/rail) related projects using local (State, County or City) or AASHTO standards at both conceptual and final design levels. Using your experience, you'll also do the following: Prepare roadway and highway designs using CAD and modeling software. Develop plans, prepare technical specifications, develop quantities and estimates, complete peer reviews, and compile design documentation. Coordinate with design discipline leads. Promote Jacobs quality control practices through all phases of design and plans production. Here's What You'll Need

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation Focus) - Substantial post graduate, years of previous professional engineering roadway design and geometrics experience. - Proficient with Microstation/Inroads and/or AutoCAD/Civil3D - Previous Department of Transportation (DOT), County or Municipal experience Ideally, you'll also have: Experience developing and modeling 3D design surfaces is preferred Ability to coordinate all phases of a project is very desirable Experience with roadway design, drainage design, estimating, specification writing, and developing other roadways components incorporated into a set of construction plans Strong mathematical and analytical skills Working knowledge of federal and state design guidelines and design procedures Jacobs' health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $87,000.00 to $95,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
