GIS - Planner
We are looking for a skilled GIS Planner to support city planning projects through mapping, spatial analysis, and data management. This role combines technical GIS work with planning support to help shape the future of our community. Key Responsibilities Provide GIS support and customer service to staff and the public. Create and maintain maps and geospatial databases. Collect, analyze, and manage planning-related data (e.g. land use, zoning, demographics). Collaborate with other departments and agencies to share and integrate data. Produce maps, charts, and reports for planning projects and presentations. Support planning studies, field research, and community development efforts. Qualifications Experience with GIS software (e.g., ESRI). Strong mapping, analysis, and data interpretation skills. Knowledge of urban planning or related fields is a plus. Clear communication and teamwork abilities. The City of Taylorsville is an excellent place to work.
