Painter The Maintenance Painter 1 is responsible to maintain surface finishes according to work orders, repair surfaces, install and remove promotional items, and maintain and clean paint materials. Maintains Surface Finishes Prepare surfaces for finishing. Apply paint and stain according to the Materials Technical Data and Safety Data Sheets. Complete all assigned work orders accurately and efficiently. Repair Surfaces Tape and fill cracks, holes, divots and joints using spackle, caulk, putty, plaster or other fillers. Strip off old wall paper or paint as needed. Install Promotional Items Assist in installing and removing various promotional items on the ministry billboards and banners on and off campus. Safely operate various lifts as needed. Maintain and Clean Materials Clean and maintain all painting equipment, including spray guns, brushes, and rollers. Organize the paint shop. Prepare and protect various job sites before completing projects. FLSA Status - Scanning (Non-exempt) Education HS Preferred Education: Vocational/Trade Degree - Painting Work Experience Required Experience: 1+ years in the painting and coating trade Preferred Experience: 1+ years in apprenticeship Physical Requirements and Skills Ability to lift 50+ pounds, Hand Tools, Ladders, Painting Techniques, Power Tools, State driver's license Mission and Purpose
