Construction Laborer
Remove water and debris from flooded basements using pumps, wet vacuums, and other equipment. Clean and sanitize affected areas to prevent mold and mildew growth. Dispose of damaged materials and items in accordance with safety regulations. Assist with the setup and operation of drying equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers. Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed. Use a jackhammer to break up concrete and other hard surfaces as required. Dig trenches to facilitate drainage and water removal. Install cement and other materials to repair and reinforce basement structures. Lift and move heavy objects, including debris and equipment, safely and efficiently. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety guidelines. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow. Construction, General labor, Power tool, Tape measure, Hand tool High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in cleaning, construction, or a related field is preferred. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Experience using a jackhammer and other heavy equipment. Knowledge of trench digging and cement installation techniques. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in wet, dirty, and potentially hazardous environments. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Entry Level The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
