A role with Target Printing Services means that you'll be part of a team that leads Target's Value communication strategy and brings holistic promotional and value stories to life for Target's guests. As a Maintenance Technician you will be the dedicated expert who supports a profitable business by ensuring that assets are functional, and services are completed. You will be the primary owner of fostering and executing the maintenance process for all print and bindery assets in the business. In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Identifying and executing preventative and corrective maintenance on print and bindery assets and equipment. Collaborating with vendors to ensure timely completion of work, while minimizing cost. Managing the cost of all repairs and understanding when parts need to be replaced. Ordering parts and following up with vendors to ensure they are received promptly. Managing service request system for print equipment daily/weekly by prioritizing work orders according to either the severity of maintenance needed or business impact. Maintain the current list of all print assets in service request system. This includes taking partners to ensure the list is up to date, add new equipment, remove equipment, and ensure all necessary details are captured. Teaching and training operators of equipment on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Influencing production managers by educating them on issues that arise from operators on their teams. Partnering with production managers weekly to assess the functionality of equipment and assist in improving equipment performance to increase efficiency of each workcenter. Following safety procedures and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensuring a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards. Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs. High School diploma or equivalent. Experience with General Industrial Maintenance or a Certificate in General Industrial Maintenance or a related technical degree preferred. 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing print and bindery equipment from large format Litho presses to shrink wrappers and everything in between. Knowledge of Air Compressor Service, Industrial Ventilation, Electric Motors and three phase power a plus. Experience managing vendor relationships. Experience managing a work order or service request system. Ability to work independently while managing workload and prioritizing tasks. Ability to take partners to resolve issues and educate to prevent future occurrences. Effective communication skills and teamwork. Able to lift 50+ pounds.
