Accounting Position With Montana Department Of Justice

Join our dynamic Accounting Team where your skills and attention to detail will directly support the Motor Vehicle Division's vital financial operations. In this role, you'll be a key player handling a wide range of accounting functionsfrom managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling online financial and credit card transactions, to processing travel claims, purchase orders, pro-card expenses, and grants reporting. You'll also be responsible for ensuring timely payments of monies held in trust for other agencies and specialty organizations. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with strong technical accounting expertise, who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about accuracy, consistency, and operational excellence. Note: This position does not supervise other personnel. Salary: $27.11 Hourly Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or a related field). Minimum of two (2) years of professional accounting experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Successful candidates will be required to undergo: Criminal History Fingerprint Check Driving History Check Be part of something bigger.
