Platform Manager Intern

Our National Conversation (ONC) seeks to reduce partisanship and promote effective solutions to Americas challenges. Powered by Americas youth, we host a media outlet, produce educational materials, and facilitate dialogue intended to make America a better country. The Platform Manager Intern contributes to ONCs mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by helping maintain and optimize ONCs digital presence across various platforms. The Platform Manager Intern will have experience in platforms such as WordPress, Canva, Slack, Google Drive, SmartRecruiter, etc. This intern is responsible for assisting other interns use these digital tools that are used to deliver content. If a team member is having a difficult time with a platform, youll step in to either do it for them or teach them how. This position is remote, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication. This intern must commit to at least the end of the Summer semester (August 30, 2025). However, many people choose to extend their internship past the amount of time they initially committed to, provided their performance meets the required standards. Responsibilities: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various platforms including WordPress, Slack, Google Drive, Canva, Substack, MailChimp, Libsyn, Handshake, SmartRecruiter, and others. Provide platform information to interns via Slack by creating written documentation (how-to guides) for each platform. Create video content of tutorials to train future team members. Collaborate with interns and team leads to ensure smooth workflows and platform usage. Identify and introduce new digital tools that could enhance our operations. Qualifications: The Platform Manager Intern should have the following skills, and experience: Strong proficiency in at least some of the platforms: WordPress, Canva, Slack, Google Drive, Substack, SmartRecruiter, Handshake, Libsyn, MailChimp, Microsoft Outlook, GoDaddy, Bluehost, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, X Quick learner, with the ability to pick up unfamiliar platforms with minimal guidance Prior experience in technical support, content management systems, or digital coordination is a plus, but not required Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during high-pressure situations Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines Ability to attend weekly Organization-Wide meetings Ability to attend weekly Media team meetings Must be authorized to intern in the U.S. Include a one-page Cover Letter submitted with application All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
