Facilities Maintenance Worker

Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible to perform the duties of building maintenance and repairs, furniture and office moves, and vehicle transport for service. Perform related duties as assigned. Locations: Stanford Blood Center What You Will Do: Perform minor repairs and building maintenance, including replacement of fluorescent lights, seismic bracing, repair of leaky faucets and light carpentry work. Complete work order requests from all Blood Center departments. Assemble, install and move office furniture, equipment and appliances as necessary. Deliver and pick up of Blood Center vehicles for routine service and maintenance. Deliver and pick up supplies to and from all Blood Center locations as well as off-site storage. Comply with governmental regulations and Stanford Health Care and Blood Center policies regarding health and safety. Strictly observe privacy and security related policies, procedures and practices to preserve the integrity and confidentiality of medical and other sensitive information. May be required to enter areas where other individuals work with human blood; potential may exist for unanticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens by splash or spill. Education Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent required. Experience Qualifications: Office and/or supply experience preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to write legibly required. Must be able to understand and apply policies, procedures and protocols to their daily work. Must be able to perform minor building maintenance and repairs. Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $37.44 - $42.01 per hour The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
