Position Highlights: Sign on bonus: N/A Position: Patient Access Representative II Location: Arlington Heights, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00 am -4:30 pm Rotating Saturdays- 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Required Travel: No A Brief Overview: The Patient Access Representative II is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing patient registrations, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance coverage. This role plays a critical part in optimizing the patient experience and supporting the hospital's commitment to high-quality healthcare services. What You Will Do: Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner during the registration process. Collect and accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information into the hospital's electronic health records system. Assist with more complex registration scenarios and problem-solving Schedule patient appointments for various healthcare services, coordinating with clinical departments and patients to find convenient times. Handle scheduling for specialized services and follow-up appointments. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, confirming the accuracy of policy information. Collaborate with insurance providers and billing teams to address insurance-related issues. Assist with resolving complex insurance verification cases. Provide patients with essential information about the registration and scheduling process, financial responsibilities, and available payment options. Ensure clear and effective communication with patients to address their questions and concerns. Handle patient concerns and escalations, resolving issues effectively. Promote a positive patient experience by minimizing wait times, ensuring a welcoming environment, and providing exceptional customer service. Help patients feel comfortable and informed during the registration and scheduling process. Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance patient experience. What You Will Need: Associates Degree Health Administration Preferred Previous experience in patient access, healthcare administration, or a related field is required.
