The Archipelago Vice President of Retail will oversee all aspects of our owned retail operations for all of our portfolio brands, currently including OluKai, Melin, and Roark retail stores. This includes P&L ownership for retail stores, hiring and team management, store operations, inventory planning, real estate and leasing for new store locations, and design and construction management for new stores. The VP of Retail is part of the executive team and will work cross-functionally to ensure a best-in-class customer experience and achieve ambitious growth goals. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Retail Store Operations

Oversee the performance of all retail store P&Ls and business unit roll up, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met or exceeded. Establish and enforce best practices in store operations (SOPs), customer experience, and employee engagement. Optimize inventory planning and management to maximize sales while minimizing inefficiency. Leadership and Team Development

Lead, mentor, and inspire a national team of retail managers and associates, as well as an internal team of real estate, design & construction, inventory planning and operations management, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance and community engagement. Inspire growth in local community outreach & giveback programs. Partner with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent for the retail organization. Create and execute professional development programs to grow internal leadership capabilities. Create systems that allow for portfolio teams to execute individually based on a set of best practices. Real Estate & Expansion

Identify and evaluate new retail opportunities, negotiate leases and manage relationships with landlords. Partner with finance and leadership teams to create and execute a real estate growth strategy aligned with business goals. Oversee the design, build-out, and construction management of new retail locations, ensuring they meet brand and operational standards as well as budget and timeline targets. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with marketing and creative teams to align in-store experiences with brand campaigns and initiatives. Work closely with the e-commerce team to integrate omnichannel strategies, such as BOPIS and consumer engagement programs. Collaborate with operations and planning teams to ensure seamless inventory flow and fulfillment processes. Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute long-term retail strategies to align with overall company objectives. Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive data to inform decision-making. Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership, influencing key business decisions. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications, Education, Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in retail operations, with a minimum of 5 years at a VP or senior director level. Proven success managing P&Ls for multi-brand retail operations. Strong knowledge of real estate, leasing, and store development processes. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration. Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience with omnichannel retail strategies and integrating digital and in-store experiences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and inspire at all levels. Position Type & Extended Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position in office. Days and hours of work generally are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On call as necessary for special events. Any required travel is primarily local during the business day with some exceptions from time to time. Location & Office Structure

This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines. Compensation

The salary range for this position is $180,000 to $220,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position. Benefits And Perks
