Secret Naval Weapons Station Maintenance Mechanic
Help connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Report to supervisor on status and progress of work and causes for work delays. Work as a journey level maintenance mechanic performing predominantly new work as well as maintenance and repair work on buildings, exterior and interior structures and related utilities, facilities and components. Install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronics equipment of moderate complexity or a system of limited complexity. Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
