The City of Robbinsdale has a fun opportunity to get paid doing something you love! Youth Soccer Officials are essential to keeping our rec league soccer programs running smoothly and fairly. We seek up to 8 officials for our fall league, which runs from mid-September to October. Whistle while you work

become a soccer ref and call the shots (literally)! Under supervision of the Recreation Programs Supervisor- Youth Sports, assists in officiating youth soccer games for grades K-5. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure field safety and cleanliness. Communicates any site concerns to Recreation Programs Supervisor-Youth Sports. Participates in all scheduled staff trainings, orientations, and meetings leading up to the start of the league. Fully understands league rules set by Robbinsdale Recreation. Communicates fully and respectfully with team coaches during games. Manages game times and safety, utilizing league rules. Follows policies, procedures and guidelines set forth in staff handbooks and at staff meetings. Practices good public relations with fellow staff, participants, parents and other individuals using the park. Responds correctly in emergency situations. Ability to relate and interact with people at various levels of authority within the agency. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum age: 14 years if certified through Minnesota State Referee Committee, 16 years if uncertified. Previous playing experience required. Ability to relate and interact with all ages. Ability to work majority of Saturday mornings mid-September through October. Preferred Training and Experience: Minnesota State Referee Committee Certified Current certification in CPR and/or First Aid Fields include Lakeview Terrace Park (Robbinsdale), Welcome Park (Golden Valley), Lions Park (Golden Valley) This title is a working title for Recreation Specialist II.
