The BIM Coordinator has been established to assist the Project Management team with planning and scheduling services during the development and execution phases of projects. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Express a strong desire to lead the creation and implementation of project planning procedures per Baker Electric's standard planning process, including timelines for Project Managers and Managers. Facilitate planning meetings as required for Project Managers. Support Project Managers with System set up, meeting notes and issue follow-up as required. Take ownership of all projects assigned and become the main driver to ensure a plan is developed that minimizes field labor time and material costs while meeting all codes and project requirements. Identify and analyze project documents for missing information and/or project issues that may be problematic. Be proactive in providing alternative strategies to resolve issues when roadblocks arise to maintain project timing. Execute recommendations from Project Manager and Planning Manager and make recommendations to solve problems. Aggressively assist in guiding the project team through the planning process to optimize the time spent while minimizing planning hours charged to the project. Survey project conditions and create a project plan which includes wiring methods, materials used and location/type of equipment to be installed. Assist in creating a bill of material (CBOM) and specify project specific material and equipment. Create and implement installation details for grounding, mounting, and installing of equipment. Assist in leading and influencing small cross-functional (sub-) teams. Prepare for and document meetings. Prepare project kickoffs and status reports. Ensure Project Risk Assessments have been read and understood by the project team. Create personal development plan that keys on developing skills to become an expert in Computer Aided Drafting and REVIT. Attend training classes and leadership classes as required. Translate project experience into relevant cross-team learnings. Attend other Project Manager meetings to gain insights. Interface with existing facility customer personnel. Interface with City/AHJ personnel to drive the permitting process. Key 30, 60, 90 Day Accomplishments

5+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry 1+ years of experience in electrical construction Project Planning a plus 2 years of experience directly leading a team of field level employees, such as, foreman, journeyman, and apprentices. Master Electrician License or CA Journeyman License a plus High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, PMP "Project Management Professional" or CPM "Certified Project Manager" a plus Proficiency in Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project, or other related Construction Management software Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook Familiarity with Salesforce and SharePoint/Office 365 a plus A successful candidate will have experience as a Foreman, with ground-up projects $2-5 million-dollar range.
