Procurement Analyst

Red 6 is an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) technology startup leading the way in synthetic air combat training. Our primary technology, supporting our ATARS product, enables pilots to simulate the cognitive challenges of flying while accessing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor environments. The Procurement Analyst plays a vital role in managing sourcing, purchasing, and vendor relationships to support engineering, product development, and operational needs. You will ensure compliance with internal policies and government contract requirements, and optimize procurement efficiency across departments. Procurement Operations: Execute day-to-day purchasing activities, including reviewing and approving PRs for accounting accuracy, generating POs, placing orders, and tracking deliveries. Support requisition-to-payment workflows in collaboration with Finance and Accounts Payable. Maintain ERP system accuracy with updated procurement data. Liaise with suppliers, legal, and internal stakeholders to facilitate subcontracts for program execution Vendor & Supplier Management: Source new suppliers and manage existing vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. Assist in tracking vendor KPIs Assist in supplier qualification efforts and support compliance reviews. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze purchasing trends and provide reports on spend, savings, and sourcing efficiency. Identify cost-saving opportunities through data and market intelligence. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure procurement documentation aligns with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, AS9100 and internal export control policies as applicable. Assist with internal and external audits related to procurement and supply chain. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering and Production Operations teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels. Support material planning and sourcing for departments across the company Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field. 25 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably in aerospace, defense, or hardware manufacturing. Strong understanding of procurement processes and tools (e.g., ERP/MRP systems, Excel, data analytics). Familiarity with ITAR, DFARS, and government contracting compliance. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred: Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
