Reporting into the Production Superintendent, the Production Supervisor will be based out of Baltimore, MD and will be responsible for assisting with the overall operational responsibilities for the facility directing the workforce to meet the production and shipping plans safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

Implements production systems to meet customer requirements Manages production labor and packaging to maximize efficiencies and satisfy customer requirements Organizes maintenance and production coverage in response to breakdowns and absenteeism Performs inventory counts of raw materials, packaging supplies, finished goods & WIP as required Manages production and shipping workforce in accordance with labor agreements and participates in resolution of grievances Manages productivity and efficiencies using metrics and continuous improvement protocol Continuously develops knowledge of customer requirements and factory's ability to produce Other duties as assigned by Production Superintendent and/or Plant Manager Ability to work flex shift, as needed Required Experience

High school diploma or GED plus minimum of 5 years of experience in production department supervision, preferably in a manufacturing, chemical manufacturing or industrial setting or College degree with 2-3 years of experience in production supervision. Position requires experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability to lead, problem solve, and learn rapidly. Knowledge of inventory systems, quality systems, requirements of OSHA, DOT & EPA, and ERP are required. Must speak and write English. Ability to speak and/or write other languages is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and operational best practices Experience managing in a union environment preferred but not required. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Proficiency in developing and implementing maintenance strategies, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives Solid understanding of budget management principles and experience in managing maintenance budgets.
