Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus Full Time Benefit Eligible Shift: FT 36 hours per week, afternoon shift 11a-11:30p with weekend and holiday rotation Takes radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Responsibilities include: preparing and positioning patients for imaging and selecting exposure factors accurately; preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations; observing patient during procedure and reporting abnormal activity; monitoring protocols and recommending updates or refinements as warranted; following radiation safety procedures and guidelines; preventing patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation; ensuring prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history); ensuring equipment is properly functioning; reporting potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel; assisting in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department; and positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Education/Experience Required: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or Technical degree required within 6 months of hire. Certification/Licences Required: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
