Position Title: Cart Valet Supervisor Department: Guest Services Salary Range: $17.00, D.O.E. Reports to: Guest Services Manager Employment Status: Seasonal FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary

The Cart Valet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the cart valet program at the marina. This includes supervising staff who retrieve, clean, refuel, and ensure the proper maintenance of valet carts. The incumbent will ensure that carts are ready for customer use, maintain cleanliness and safety across the property, and promote teamwork and safety. The role also involves logistical coordination, maintain and complete all billing and transactions for service, assisting with guest transport, and performing general property maintenance duties to maintain a clean and safe marina environment. The Cart Valet Supervisor will collaborate closely with marina staff, including security, maintenance, and will report directly to the Guest Services Manager. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized individual with leadership abilities who can manage a dynamic team in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment. Essential Functions & Duties

Supervision and Staff Management: Lead and supervise a team of cart valet attendants, ensuring proper training, coordination, and execution of tasks.

Promote teamwork and a collaborative atmosphere to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Delegate tasks and ensure that all staff members are adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures.

Foster a positive work environment by encouraging open communication, mutual respect, and accountability.

Billing, Revenue, and QuickBooks Management: Oversee billing for cart valet services, ensuring accurate charges and billing.

Process customer payments, including cash, credit cards, and checks, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately.

Input all revenue data into QuickBooks, including invoicing for services, payment receipts, and ensuring that all financial records are up-to-date and compliant with marina policies.

Reconcile daily revenue reports and ensure that all billing activities align with operational records.

Generate and maintain detailed financial reports for management, highlighting revenue trends, service usage, and outstanding balances.

Coordinate with the marina's accounting team to resolve any billing discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.

Cart Valet Operations and Maintenance: Oversee retrieval of golf carts from designated areas when not in use by customers, ensuring they are clean, refueled, and in good working condition before being returned to the customer.

Oversee the proper storage and securing of golf carts when not in service.

Coordinate with the maintenance team for any repairs or mechanical issues that require attention.

Manage fueling schedules, ensuring carts are refueled on time and detailed as necessary.

Assist Guest Services with Transportation: Assist with transporting guests, visitors, employees, and products around the marina when needed.

Oversee loading and unloading persons, properties, or products safely and efficiently.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality concierge services, including offering information about the marina's facilities, services, and nearby attractions.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain daily logs of golf cart usage, including valet registration, incident reports, and drive logs.

Document any unusual activities, maintenance needs, or safety concerns.

Ensure all paperwork related to vehicle usage, staff schedules, and customer service interactions is accurately organized and filed.

Safety and Security Coordination: Ensure all staff follow safety guidelines and are using equipment properly.

Provide oversight of staff members operating carts to ensure safe driving practices and adherence to marina rules.

Collaborate with the Security team to assist with interdepartmental procedures and the safe transport of goods and people.

Effectively provide historical, geographical and cultural information to guests and visitors.

Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age with a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and team members. Proven ability to operate golf carts, service vehicles, and other related equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to perform general housekeeping tasks, including trash removal, cleaning, and maintenance of property grounds. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Basic understanding of safety protocols and ability to implement them on the job. Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software for managing revenue and processing invoices. Possess reliable transportation and ability to work on weekends, evenings and holidays. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. Prior experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a marina, resort, hospitality, or outdoor service environment. Knowledge of APM marina services and amenities. Skills which allow for the tactful resolution of guest problems or concerns. Knowledge or ability to be trained in fire extinguisher operation. Knowledge or ability to be trained in ISO/EMS awareness. Knowledge or ability to be trained in employee orientation. Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazard communication. Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazardous materials response/respiratory protection. Knowledge or ability to be trained in emergency response. The performance of stated functions and duties may occur in, but are not limited to: office settings, confined spaces such as boat hulls, public or common areas such as restaurant or retail establishment; inclement weather conditions may be a factor including rain, snow, wind, extreme temperatures. General industry levels of noise and stimuli should be expected in all settings. *Controllable working conditions (i.e. temperature, lighting) may be altered to create a more conducive working environment for staffing needs, however such accommodations shall not create an undue hardship on the Company or other staff members. Physical Demands

The physical demands of the position may include, but are not limited to sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Lifting, carrying and otherwise maneuvering heavy objects with or without assistance. Climbing, crouching, reaching, extending and other bodily movements in work areas such as boats, office settings, docks. English Proficiency

It is important that the incumbent be able to communicate effectively in English including speaking, understanding, reading, and writing for the purpose of general interactions with staff, guests and customers. Additional linguistic proficiency is welcomed and encouraged, but not required for the performance of the position. Intent and Function of Job Description
