whatever your ambitions. As a Process Engineer 1, you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop manufacturing processes to create innovative, breakthrough next-generation medical devices. We partner with R&D on the front end of projects, innovate to determine how to make a design come to fruition and partner with Operations to launch life-saving devices into the market that improve and extend the lives of patients around the world. Your responsibilities will include: Responsible for the integrity and content of Process Plans with respect to materials used in processing and sequencing of tasks Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and refine manufacturing processes Design, fabricate and test prototype devices to address clinical feedback Conduct process characterization experiments and Process Validation to determine optimal settings to be used in device manufacturing Investigate and recommend new technology to be utilized to create medical devices Assess process capabilities and innovate and implement process improvements for discrete, well-defined processes Responsible for writing clean and concise work instructions that can be understood by product builders Contributes to technical reports, validations, and qualifications by capturing experimental results Writes validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes Gathers and provides technical data for technical reviews Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests Assists in developing qualified production lines Contributes ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions May train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation Required Qualifications: Must graduate between Fall 2025
Spring 2026 A bachelor's or graduate level degree majoring in Computer Engineering Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization Must have prior internship or co-op experience at Boston Scientific Must have at least 0-1 year of experience in process development engineering Preferred Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams Passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions Experience in medical device field or other regulated industry Self-starter with the ability to identify improvement opportunities Knowledge of analytical techniques, problem solving and statistical analysis Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
