Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Assignment
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a float assignment role. As an RN, you will provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality patient care. Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, you will deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care as well as educate patients and their families. You will effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team, participate in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals, and ensure that these solutions are implemented effectively.
Shift: 1900-0730, open to working 48 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities: - Utilize clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans. - Provide a wide variety of professional nursing services based on individual patient needs. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare personnel. - Monitor patient progress and update care plans as necessary. - Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and outcomes. - Adapt to staffing adjustments, which may involve being reassigned to different units in 4-hour blocks.
Required Skills & Experience: - A minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty areas. - Basic dysrhythmia testing competency. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. - Strong clinical and analytical abilities.
Education: - Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. - Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
Certification & Licensure: - Required: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. - Preferred: Additional certifications as applicable.
