As a Structures Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling aircraft sheet metal assemblies and subassemblies, including mating stress critical joints. You will read and understand work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation station sheets to determine the sequence of operations, fastener type size, and hole patterns. You will align and build assemblies and subassemblies on large, complex manufacturing jigs and fixtures. Additionally, you will drill, countersink, dimple, ream, and chamfer holes on complex structural assemblies for a variety of different fasteners with minimal quality defects. You must effectively use all required hand/power tools, perform inspections and assessments, troubleshoot and rework major discrepancies, maintain designed tolerances, measure parts, and apply sealants as required. You will collaborate with the Production Supervisor and engineering to implement modifications and upgrades to improve performance and safety. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Responsibilities

Assemble aircraft sheet metal assemblies and subassemblies, including mating stress critical joints Read and understand work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation station sheets to determine sequence of operations, fastener type size, and hole patterns Align and build assemblies and subassemblies on large, complex manufacturing jigs and fixtures Drill, countersink, dimple, ream, and chamfer holes on complex structural assemblies for various fasteners with minimal quality defects Effectively use all required hand/power tools, including portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, torque wrenches, crimpers, cable tools, and other necessary hand tools Perform inspections and assessments, including inquiry and analysis of scrap damage, corrosion, or wear and tear of structures Troubleshoot and rework major discrepancies as necessary Serve as the primary point of contact for repairs and modifications due to customer or design changes Maintain designed tolerances, edge distance, and pitch per engineering requirements Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and use check gauges to inspect holes and fastener tolerance Apply sealants on structural components, such as fillet and fay seal, as required per engineering Collaborate with Production Supervisor and engineering to implement modifications and upgrades to improve performance and safety Perform other duties as assigned Essential Skills

Experience with forklift, inventory management, data entry, cycle counts, material handling, inventory, warehouse packing, RF scan gun, ERP, and shipping & receiving Ability to read and understand blueprints Level III or above in new build aircraft assembly Experience in building new assemblies, picking, labeling, warehouse inventory, WDS, and inventory tracking Must have a high school diploma or GED Prefers 4+ years of experience Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
