CNC Mill Machinist

Join a dynamic machine shop that specializes in fabricating parts for oil and gas companies, particularly bearings and seals for rotating equipment. As a job shop, we handle diverse work orders, creating small to medium-sized parts with dimensions ranging from 1" ID to 36" OD and lengths up to 12". We work with various materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, babbitt, and exotic materials. The role involves CNC milling on both vertical and horizontal machines, utilizing 3 and 4 axis, and occasionally 5 axis machines, with Haas controllers. Responsibilities

Operate CNC milling machines on vertical and horizontal setups. Program CNC machines directly at the machine using Haas controllers. Work with 3/4 Axis machining, with some operations involving 5 Axis. Ensure precise machining of parts within tight tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints for machining processes. Utilize CAM software such as Gibbscam and Mastercam for programming tasks. Maintain and setup tooling for machining operations. Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes. Essential Skills

10+ years of CNC Machining experience. Proficiency in Mill machining, including vertical and horizontal mills. Expertise in CNC Programming at the machine. Familiarity with Haas controls and Fanuc systems. Ability to work with G code programming. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with 5 Axis machining is preferred. Capability to machine babbitt and split parts. Background in a competing bearing shop is advantageous. Strong precision skills and ability to handle tight tolerances. Why Work Here?

Our medium-sized shop is clean and organized, equipped with AC to prevent material warping. With 27 employees on the day shift and 23 on the afternoon shift, you will work alongside skilled CNC machinists, manual machinists, QC staff, welders, assemblers, and general laborers. The 2nd shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Friday noon to 8:30pm, with voluntary half-day Saturdays. Saturdays may become mandatory as workload increases. Enjoy a $2/hr shift differential for night shifts. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deer Park, Texas Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
