The Manager, Development and Commercial Parenteral Services oversees systems, processes, workforce, and culture to enable manufacturing of complex parenteral formulations and dosage forms (e.g., implants, injectables). The role includes aligning with corporate goals, staffing and training manufacturing teams, and driving continuous improvement to meet quality and operational targets. Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Performance
Set manufacturing unit goals, track KPIs, lead planning meetings. Identify and address system-level manufacturing gaps with cross-functional peers.
Workforce Management
Lead recruiting, talent development, and performance management for cleanroom and manufacturing teams. Mentor supervisors and specialists.
Process & Compliance Optimization
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory (cGMP, ISO) compliance. Drive pharmaceutical elegance and best practices in cleanroom conduct, behavior, and upkeep.
Customer Project Support
Oversee successful delivery of customer projects including batch reviews and root cause analyses.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate priorities with quality, supply chain, engineering, and safety teams. Ensure high standards for safety, compliance, and internal communication.
Requirements
Education
BS with 6+ years proven manufacturing leadership; MS in a scientific field (pharmaceutical science, chemistry, engineering) with 2+ years of practical manufacturing leadership.
Experience
4+ years of managing people or functions; demonstrated experience in cleanroom operations, compliance. Strong success in continuous improvement, change management, and regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA, MHRA, etc.) Strong financial acumen in manufacturing context; experience driving savings, profitability, and cost controls impacting business results.
Skills
Strong team leadership, mentoring, and development. Proficient in cGMP, regulatory scoping, and technical manufacturing principles. Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and process improvement frameworks (e.g., Kaizen, 5S), and business systems like SAP, CMMS, and deviation management. Able to recognize, problem solve, and act on deviations or technical problems. Able to work in lab, cleanroom, and office environments.
