Vehicle Integration Engineer II

You will be an integral part of a team responsible for delivering a powerful, scalable next-generation vehicle platform for future Toyota and Lexus vehicles. This platform will comprise a new centralized electrical architecture powered by Arene, Woven Planet's flagship programmable automotive software system that integrates on-vehicle OS and data collection services with the cloud. This team will deliver concept hardware and software solutions driven by high-quality UX research that defines an end-to-end product definition for Toyota's next-generation vehicles. This concept work will produce a full-stack solution starting with the digital services, the programmable software system, and the underlying compute and electrical architecture of the vehicle. This team represents the cutting edge of software and hardware development at Toyota. Your work will marry the speed and agility of Silicon Valley software development with the standards of functional safety, craftsmanship, and time-tested quality of Toyota products in a fast-paced, prototyping environment. We are looking for hardware engineers passionate about mobility and breakthrough customer experiences. As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will design and integrate hardware components onto our vehicle development platforms which demonstrates secure and safe experiences that usher in the next generation of mobility-based experiences. Design, fabrication, and prototyping of various electromechanical systems Design detailed system/component block diagrams and engage with vendors for fabrication including PCB/PCBA Integrate hardware on vehicle through CAN, LIN, (automotive) ethernet interfaces Low and High voltage integration across multiple platforms with power converters Ability to understand, support, and debug complex systems with electrical and software aspects. Debug and troubleshoot vehicle system faults Improve existing processes and techniques for assembly of prototype components. Ability to understand, support, and work within a large multi-team project focused on developing user focused concept vehicles. Occasionally travel internationally to achieve product adoption goals. Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience as Electrical, Computer, Systems Engineer in consumer product or advanced automotive technology companies M.S. or higher in Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. (will consider strong B.S. candidate) Altium Designer; schematic and PCB/PCBA layout Vehicle communication (i.e. CAN, LIN), BLE, NFC, UWB and power experience Ability to understand and debug electrical and software systems, circuit analysis Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams. Team player. Ability to be hands-on to manufacture and integrate components onto various platforms. Data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills. Proven track record of taking ownership, a motivated self-starter that can work independently. Proven success in delivering technology products/services in a high-growth, ambiguous environment. Preferred Qualifications

Proficient using lab tools such as bench power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and network analyzers Automotive vehicles architecture, electrical systems, and Robotic Systems: Hands-on design, integration, validation and troubleshooting of electrical systems(actuators, sensors, audio, power) Software: ROS/ROS 2, Embedded firmware, Python & Linux Scripting Experience with low & high speed interfaces (UART, I2C, USB, MIPI, LVDS, ethernet Familiarity with embedded software development and tools Software engineering experience For positions based in Palo Alto, CA, the base pay for this position ranges from $112,000- $184,000 a year.
