You will be an integral part of a team responsible for delivering a powerful, scalable next-generation vehicle platform for future Toyota and Lexus vehicles. This platform will comprise a new centralized electrical architecture powered by Arene, Woven Planet's flagship programmable automotive software system that integrates on-vehicle OS and data collection services with the cloud. This team will deliver concept hardware and software solutions driven by high-quality UX research that defines an end-to-end product definition for Toyota's next-generation vehicles. This concept work will produce a full-stack solution starting with the digital services, the programmable software system, and the underlying compute and electrical architecture of the vehicle. This team represents the cutting edge of software and hardware development at Toyota. Your work will marry the speed and agility of Silicon Valley software development with the standards of functional safety, craftsmanship, and time-tested quality of Toyota products in a fast-paced and collaborative prototyping environment. Join the Arene Advance Development team as a Senior Software Engineer (Platforms). In this role, you will be instrumental in evolving our prototyping SDK by developing and enhancing its core services and modules, with a strong emphasis on scalability, adaptability, and performance. You will also be responsible for integrating diverse solutions into our software stack, contributing to a unified and exceptional development experience for next-generation vehicles. Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy software solutions to enable the development of novel end-user experiences in the automotive and mobility spaces Own and manage the entire Software Development Life Cycle for core services and modules, from development to integration into our prototyping SDK. Enhance existing services and modules in the prototyping SDK based on customer feedback and requirements, focusing on usability and performance. Integrate diverse software solutions to enable new experiences for developers and users of our prototyping platforms. Perform iterative testing, debugging, and optimization of software services and modules during deployment. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members, other internal teams, and external partners. Qualifications

B.S., M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical and demonstrated experience Experience in software development and strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python Experience building system applications and/or frameworks for autonomous systems (ADAS, robotics, aerospace, automation, etc) Experience developing multi-threaded, multi-core and multi-system software Proven track record of successful ownership of software components and their Life Cycle, ideally in the context of automotive, aerospace or robotics fields Experience developing software for embedded or real-time systems is a plus Experience with ROS/ROS2 is a plus Experience with communications protocols such as CAN, Some/IP, DDS or similar is a plus Passionately motivated to take ideas from R&D phase to a product Good team player with great communication skills For positions based in Palo Alto, CA, the base pay for this position ranges from $140,000- $230,000 a year. Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
