How would you contribute?

This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Pennsylvania team plant, located in Nazareth, PA. As a Supply Chain Manager, you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for managing the supply chain of all vendors as it relates to production and delivery of finished goods inventory. This position is ultimately responsible for maintaining all inventory levels and ensuring that inventory forecasts are accurate and timely to ensure on time delivery of products. The supply chain manager interfaces closely with operations, scheduling, production, customer service, and accounting.

Essential Duties: Purchases all raw materials and supplies. Closely monitoring the schedule for changes to plan accordingly. Managing offsite locations that store raw material and finished goods. Manages and qualifies new vendors. Performs audit on vendors. Manages on time delivery of products from vendors. Improve communication with vendors and review improvement opportunities. Management of the entire vendor process from approval status to order fulfillment. Manage all inventory levels of stock and nonstock items and inventory processes. Maximize inventory turns per year and minimize inventory carried. Manage cycle count process and physical inventory count. Interface closely with scheduling, operational management, production, customer service and accounting to ensure all customer requirements are met and delivery is on time. New product research as necessary on new items. Identify new or improved technologies. Educate suppliers on customer requirements. Assist as necessary with creating items for bills of materials. Forecast materials needed with accuracy by researching demand drivers, historical trends, and developing future models. Evaluate forecast results periodically. Assist with preparation of annual budget and forecast projected spending Coordinate research across departments to reconcile significant variances. Maintain minimum inventory levels to ensure continuous workflow. Manage slow moving inventory and monitor sku status. Materials planning and scheduling including scheduling of inbound and outbound products

Strong computer skills in Microsoft suite and MRP experience required. Supervisory Responsibilities:

I s responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning and assigning work; appraising performance; rewarding and leading employees; addressing conflict resolution and providing workforce success opportunities for team members.

Education / Experience

Certifications: B.S./B.A. in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline. Equivalent work experience acceptable A minimum of 4 plus years of materials management in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Excel skills needed. Experience managing a planning team. Lean manufacturing experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hand dexterity to operate office equipment including computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office work environment is typically quiet; when visiting the production floor the noise level may be loud.
