How would you contribute?

This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Pennsylvania team, in Nazareth, PA. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery to ensure efficient production operations. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability.

Essential Duties: Perform routine inspections including preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery, including injection molding machines, extruders, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment. Thoroughly understand and maintain all plant systems including fire protection, plumbing, cooling water, HVAC and compressed air. Develop and follow maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions. Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process improvements and equipment upgrades. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and machine performance. Complete work orders and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Participate in safety audits, training, and emergency response drills. Ensures that the work area is kept clean and orderly. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains company attendance standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does not have personnel supervisory responsibilities; however, this role includes working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Abilities Required: High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or related field preferred. Minimum of three of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics. Minimum of one year forklift and pallet truck experience. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and other control systems is a plus. Basic industrial electricity, hydraulics, plumbing, compressed air, water cooling systems as well as preventative/predictive maintenance programs. Basic operation of equipment such as lathe, milling machine, welding equipment, drill press, reciprocating/circular/band saw, pedestal grinder. Capability to utilize problem-solving skills. Must be able to work well with others, build partnerships and support team members. Able to utilize interpersonal and communication skills in daily work. Must be self-motivated and positive. Flexible and adaptable. Display highest ethical standards. Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Upholds and supports organizational goals and Core Values. Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance. Takes initiative and asks for help when needed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hand dexterity to operate office equipment including computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee must be able to work in elevated areas such as ladders, raised platforms and roof/ silo. The employee will work in tight and confined spaces. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office work environment is typically quiet; when visiting the production floor the noise level may be loud.
