This individual will execute in vivo neuromuscular and sensory pharmacology studies, contributing to the design, execution, and communication of novel research in our highly collaborative neurotoxin discovery and innovation program. The successful candidate for this position will contribute to projects aimed at in vivo pharmacological characterization of biotherapeutics. He/she/they will be required to work on a variety of in vivo pharmacology models to help characterize and evaluate biological compounds. The successful candidate will organize, analyze, and interpret results, come forward with recommendations, and present the findings to senior personnel or in team meetings. Experience with rodent models is required. A background in neurobiology is highly desirable but not required. Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and analyze in vivo assays to answer scientific questions and contribute to conceptual and experimental protocols Work with cross-functional team members to accomplish the goals and requirements of the organization, including excellence in execution, and workload prioritization Hands-on experimentalist: perform small animal handling, dosing of molecules through a variety of delivery routes, conduct behavioral studies, and post-mortem tissue harvest Demonstrate critical thinking to troubleshoot and provide creative solutions to address experimental challenges Effectively organize and present scientific plans and data to functional leaders Demonstrate flexibility and a commitment to scientific excellence Meet experimental timelines and impact projects through lab-based contributions Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding conduct, safety, material handling, CDC compliance, and animal care Learn, understand, and become proficient at new experimental techniques Effectively prepare and communicate presentations to multidisciplinary teams Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience OR Master's Degree Experience with small animal/rodent handling is required Experience with behavioral assays (sensory or motor) Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with small animal dosing and post-mortem tissue harvest is highly desirable. Familiarity with in vivo behavioral or pharmacological assays is highly desirable. Working knowledge of neuroscience and animal anatomy is a plus Experience with histological techniques, including immunohistochemistry, microscopy, and other laboratory techniques, is a plus. Experience with in vitro assays including cell culture techniques is a plus. Knowledge of graphing software (e.g., GraphPad prism) and basic understanding of statistical analyses is a plus. Other Required Skills:

Exhibit flexibility and a commitment to scientific excellence Highly motivated, hands-on experimentalist who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment Willing and able to conduct various in vivo behavioral and pharmacological assays in small animals Independently design and conduct critical experiments that advance project goals in a timely manner Proactively seek advice from others when developing new models or when troubleshooting Possess strong interpersonal skills and able to collaborate with diverse groups within the organization.
