How would you contribute?
This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Pennsylvania team, located in Nazareth PA. As a Machine Operator you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for Production job responsible for properly performing activities relative to efficiently operating the sheet equipment, including setups and producing quality products.
Essential Duties: Perform setups and startups on the machines, Ensure machines are running properly and efficiently to produce a quality product. Set up the blenders to ensure proper mixing of materials in order to run production jobs. Perform troubleshooting to keep uninterrupted workflow. Train apprentice operators to become self-sufficient. Requisition materials and supplies as needed. Complete pertinent paperwork. Ensure that the work area is kept clean and orderly. Follow all plant work and safety procedures and policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintains company attendance standards.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Abilities Required: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports in English. Ability to speak effectively with company employees and supervisors in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to read and understand product specifications. Must be able to use measurement tools and techniques to monitor product tolerances. Basic computer skills. Must be able to use hand tools. Must possess applicable knowledge of setup and startup operations. Strong leadership and training skills Upholds and supports organizational goals and values.Takes the initiative to ask for and offer help when needed.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSE: Pallet Jack license.
Certifications and License: Pallet Jack License.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently exert pressure to tighten and loosen bolts on die lip and die. The employee will be exposed to frequent bending, stooping and climbing.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seasonally and moderately exposed to humid conditions and heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, the risk of electrical shock and exposure to extreme molten plastic temperature. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
