Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the completion of work orders related to the physical maintenance and repairs of assigned buildings. You will utilize work order-related software programs and be responsible for implementing routine physical improvements. The role involves responding to emergencies in accordance with departmental protocols and assisting in the establishment and maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, inventories, and logs. Responsibilities
Implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs. Control expenses associated with the operation of buildings. Communicate building status and changes effectively to appropriate individuals. Adhere to all safety standards, policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and best practices. Act professionally and courteously with tenants, clients, co-workers, vendors, patients, and other stakeholders. Utilize materials, supplies, tools, and other building property in a safe and productive manner. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Essential Skills
Experience in HVAC maintenance, water system maintenance, mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance. Proficiency in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical work, and troubleshooting. 3+ years of related work experience and technical training; 5+ years of experience is ideal. High school graduate or GED required; technical school training in maintenance-related courses preferred. Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for travel between Panama City and Tallahassee. Additional Skills & Qualifications
CFC Handling Certification preferred. 24-hour availability for emergencies and participation in an on-call rotation. Ability to do extensive walking, climb stairs and ladders, and lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds. Willingness to work overtime on special projects. Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturers specifications, and written operational procedures. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software.
