Instructor - Center for Internal Audit/Cybersecurity Risk Mgt

The instructor will teach undergraduate/graduate level courses in the Department of Accounting. A graduate level class may be considered if the applicant has expertise in a specialized field. A typical teaching load is four courses in the Fall and four courses in the Spring. Full time instructor will shadow the existing director of the Center for Internal Audit/Cybersecurity Risk Management to observe, learn and implement best practices for the students within the CIA/CRM program and develop key relationships with industry partners. Job Responsibilities: 50% - Teach Undergraduate/Graduate Classes in Accounting and/or Internal Auditing 50% - Serve as the Associate Director of the Center for Internal Audit/Cybersecurity Risk Management which will include working closely with the CIA/CRM Director in carrying out the major functions of the program (e.g., student recruitment, placement, employer engagement, etc.) Minimum Qualifications: Education Level: PhD in Accounting or business related discipline Degree Substitute: Master's degree in Accounting or Master's degree in a closely related business field with the Certified Internal Auditor certification, CISA, CISSP, CISM or CPA with 5+ years of experience Preferred Qualifications: Education Level: PhD in Accounting or closely related business related field Specific Experience: Industry related experience Additional Job Description: Special Instructions: For questions regarding this position or associated salary range, please contact Dr. Tommy Phillips at tphillips@lsu.edu.
