This position is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance of a building's structure, systems, and equipment. This includes performing a wide range of tasks, from routine repairs to preventative maintenance and responding to emergency situations. They ensure the building and its systems function safely, efficiently, and optimally.
You are hard-working, a team player, and dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do. Significant past experience as a professional maintenance worker is highly preferred and a positive attitude is a must!
Responsibilities: Complete tasks on to do list as requested. Scan lights, bulbs and ballasts for outages and replace as needed. Search and remove any bugs or debris from light fixtures. Examine and replace any ceiling tiles showing signs of moisture or damage. Inspect door handles to ensure closures are working properly. Survey walls for any spots in need of patch and paint repair. Examine toilet seats to ensure they are securely tightened and flushing and filling properly. Visually inspect flooring for any spots that may need attention or replacement. Verify that cabinet doors and drawers are working properly. Check faucets and aerators for proper function. Inspect the sinks to ensure they are draining properly. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner Qualifications : Previous experience as a handyman / general maintenance Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA) Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry Ability to read and interpret blueprints Must be qualified to perform at heights above thirty (30) feet with the use of a ladder, lift Ability to lift 40+ lbs on a consistent basis
