Senior Manager, Accounting Policy & External Reporting
to provide subject-matter-expertise in the pathway towards recapitalization. Work with some of the best and brightest in Chicagoland! Option for Loop or West Suburban locations (hybrid 2-3x/week).
Relocation assistance is available. Keys to an interview: Senior Manager, Accounting Policy & External Reporting Minimum 7-8 total years' experience Public company experience with expertise in developing SEC reporting program Prior experience within industry as an accounting leader in areas such as financial reporting and/or technical accounting CPA, public accounting, and manufacturing experience preferred Key responsibilities: Senior Manager, Accounting Policy & External Reporting Drive the preparation of external filings, shape our accounting policies Serve as the go-to expert for complex technical issues. Collaborate across FP&A, Tax, and Treasury to ensure GAAP compliance and provide clear, accurate financial insight to both internal and external stakeholders. Own the preparation and filing of 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and 8-Ks, ensuring SEC compliance. Lead the evaluation of complex accounting matters: acquisitions, estimates, contract reviews, etc. Ensure proper treatment under GAAP. Maintain and evolve company-wide accounting policies, ensuring alignment with the latest regulatory guidance. Partner with leadership on audit committee materials and disclosures. Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess business impact. Act as a thought partner to the CAO and CFO on technical decisions and reporting strategy. Seniority level
