Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will bring strong HR knowledge, the ability to work independently, and a proven track record of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role will support a variety of HR functions, including recruiting, leave management, compliance with labor laws, and maintaining accurate employee records.
Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries from managers and staff. Manage and coordinate full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Administer employee leaves of absence in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, etc.). Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and employment regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail. Support HR investigations, performance management processes, and corrective actions. Prepare HR reports and track key metrics as needed. Assist with training coordination, policy updates, and compliance audits. Handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant HR experience will be considered in place of a degree. Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a mid-level or specialist role. Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and leave administration. Full-cycle recruiting experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS/ATS systems. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Preffered
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus
